With a background in creative writing and language studies, Ben’s approach to architecture is informed as much by architectural history and research as it is by the physical requirements of material and process. He has always been interested in putting things together, seeking to synthesize design ideas and material constraints into thoughtful building solutions. Pairing research with technical application, Ben seeks to provide simple, thoughtful design strategies for projects of varying scales and typologies. He has worked collaboratively with clients, contractors, and consultants to deliver multiple LEED accredited buildings, creative work spaces, research facilities, commercial high-rise exteriors, and higher education buildings. Ben earned his Master of Architecture at Columbia University and is a California State Licensed Architect with LEED accreditation.
