On January 31, the American Institute of Architects announced that Clive Wilkinson has been elected to The College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects! This prestigious honor was awarded to Clive by The Jury of Fellows due to his notable contributions to the advancement of profession of architecture. The investiture Ceremony will be held at the AIA National Convention in Denver, Colorado on June 21, 2013.

Clive Wilkinson Architects is designing the A+D Architecture and Design Museum’s upcoming Never Built: LA exhibit, which will showcase Los Angeles-based buildings, master plans, transportation proposals, and dreams that never came to fruition. Curated by Sam Lubell and Greg Goldin, the unbuilt projects, which span a wide range of sizes, time periods, and legendary architects, could have changed the face and future of Los Angeles—but never got the chance

Earlier this year, Clive Wilkinson Architects received the 2012 Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award in Interior Design. In October, Clive Wilkinson accepted the prestigious award at the Awards Gala on the Hudson River in New York City.

Clive Wilkinson shall be presenting a lecture to the New School of Architecture and Design in San Diego on November 14, 2012. The lecture, titled “The Architecture of the Large Organization” will address emerging paradigms in the evolution of the modern workplace, under pressure from massive techno-socio-cultural challenges, and how these developments may shape new forms of community. The talk will be illustrated with examples of how these are interpreted within the architecture and design work of our firm, Clive Wilkinson Architects.

Following on from our successful Shelley Street, Sydney and Ropemaker, London office projects, CWA, supported by the excellent Australian firm of BVN, are collaborating with Johnson Pilton Walker (JPW) to design their new 200,000 sq. ft. Sydney headquarters. JPW are renovating and expanding the 1927 Beaux Arts heritage bank building on Sydney’s prestigious Martin Place, and CWA are designing an ambitious ‘connected’ workplace for 2,000 people around an enlarged 10-storey atrium.
